Denver, Co - The Avalanche officially announce the acquisition of fan favorite and Avalanche legend Jason Spezza. Also, GM Swayze announced Spezza is now the captain, first assistant captain and second assistant captain.
"It is a no brainer" said GM Swayze. "This is obviously a giant piece to a CPHL championship". As it stands right now, Spezza will be a healthy scratch for the remainder of the games unless someone gets hurt. In those days, GM Swayze mentioned Spezza is also officially the new head coach and all 3 assistant coach's as well.
