It’s not that trading Hopkins was so stupid, it’s the pitiful return. Texans have talented receivers and with the premium picks they should have received, could have upgraded their defense. Instead they got a washed up running back on a bad contract.

Nah, trading a top 3 player at his position in his prime is pretty stupid, especially when you have a star QB. The likelihood you get decent value is low to begin with. But that trade was about starting to clean up other really bad moves (the Tunsil trade will just avoid disaster territory because the Texans will probably avoid giving away a top 5 pick). Texans will probably end up wasting Watson's career because there is still a big mess to clean up from O'Brien.

^ No trading from a position of strength makes sense and while Hopkins is a special player making a wideout the highest paid non QB in the league was not a good idea. Texans record is about the same with him on the team I’ll bet.

Acquiring Tunsil, trading Clowney and Hopkins all could have worked. It’s what they gave up for Tunsil, and getting nothing for Clowney and Hopkins that killed the team.

Trading Hopkins wasn’t about cleaning up other moves. Not that I can see. It was a bad football trade.

Am I the only one flinching every single time Alex Smith gets hit or sacked?

This is a good result since the Giants hold the tiebreaker over Washington

McCarthy really is a horrible coach.

I used to think that Dallas’ biggest problem was Jerry Jones, but now it looks like a tie to me.

Cowboys clearly tanking, and for good reason. Winning this division is gonna cost someone maybe 15 spots in the draft.

The whole team is just soft mentally, all flash and no heart. And Jerry is the driver of that.

The Cowboys D has always been small guys. Opposite of the Steelers who always seem to have big guys.

The whole "The Cowboys hope Dak gets hurt so Dalton can come in and prove Dak is replaceable" take looks pretty silly in hindsight. Jerry is gonna be so desperate after this season Dak might get that Mahomes money.

That fake punt was the turning point. They were down 4 now they’re down by 25! Wow.

They were 1-3 with Dak starting. If he was elite he would have won a lot more games surrounded by all the talent he's had to work with as Rogers and Wilson have won with much less surrounding talent on offense. I'm really hoping for him to get Mahomes money though because I enjoy seeing Jones never winning another Super Bowl.

Once Elliott got paid, he turned into an average back. This team was crap even with Prescott throwing for big yards, they cant use that as an excuse. They will likely finish last in the power that is the NFC East.

Lamar Jackson tested positive for COVID and the Ravens aren’t allowed back in their practice facility until Monday. Unlikely that they play the Steelers on Sunday. Ravens should have to to forfeit.

Apparently if the Ravens forfeit both teams have to forfeit their salary for the week. Doubtful the PA goes for that.
