I wouldn't say it worked out for them... they are down by two runs.

how do they come to the conclusion that the Jays knew what they were doing? Tampa's runs came in the 4th and the 7th - the two innings where they changed pitchers.
Pulling Shoemaker when they did was a disaster, there is no getting around it.
Only scoring one run doesn't help either, but that is a different discussion

The Rays are pretty much the Lemaire trap of the baseball world. Stifling defence and unbelievably dull, low scoring games. How is this game, with so few hits, going to surpass 3 hours?

Personally I don’t mind the new pitcher. Don’t wanna burn out Borucki.

Oh man. If only Vladdy didn’t swing at ball 4.

And then he watches a slider right down the middle for the backwards K
But at least he took a big selfish cut on ball 4 in a 3-0 count.

I didn’t mind the swing. He just missed it because he read it was going to be slightly below.

I'd rather the tying run being on base myself.

Vladdy and Teo both swung on ball 4’s. Could’ve been a very different inning. Oh well. On to the next.

With how close this game was I really think they need a best of 5 series even in the opening series.

Definitely debatable. Ina game where there haven’t been base hits I’d have personally let him go for it.

Jays reverted to their old ways of swinging for the fences - results in a lack of baserunners because no one puts the ball in play.
Hate it.
