They are swinging at everything this inning, it looks like.

Gotta be happy for Jansen all things considered. And his two shots were absolute bombs too. So that’s always fun.

Great two innings by Pearson here. Sucks that Jansen is not up to bat yet.

Pearson throwing more fastballs, and therefore more strikes, and therefore more effective. And only 28 pitches through 2 innings.
No idea why the Jays don't like fastballs.

Sigh, seeing Pearson pitch this well saddens me. Imagine having Walker and Pearson available tomorrow.

I just got home from work and looked at the score. Any idea why Ryu wasn't dealing today?

If they can get a couple runs here in the 6th, they may find themselves bringing the tieing run to the plate at some point.
Keep plugging away.
Would be nice if Biggio and Bichette did something.

He didn't have his fastball and movement on his pitches today. In the first the Rays also were very good at hitting what he was dealing even though they weren't in the strike zone.

They haven't speculated.
But the fact that he asked for an extra day off in each of his last two starts, hints at something being off.

Jays need to learn that with two strikes you can't watch borderline pitches

They are just getting fooled. They are either watching fastballs go by or swinging at breaking balls in the dirt.

Biggio ends up 1 for 7 with 6 Ks
On that last one, he watched a 94 mph fastball go right down the middle of the plate, thigh high
