Aside from cap relief to activate Sekera, part of the allure for #Oilers was Stolarz is a pending RFA. However, and this is a big stipulation, he must play 30 min or more in 10 of EDM’s final 25 games to avoid becoming a Group VI UFA at end of the year.

Green text? Other GMs cares about the Oilers and thier dysfunctional executive? The same executive that once put an offer sheet on Thomas Vanek after the opposing GM Regier told him not to bother as they were to match, but still did it anyways?

Keith Gretzky if smart, rides this year out to get some operational experience and gets out from under Lowe before Lowe hires Pierre McGuire as GM, and continues his career as an AGM with a competent organization.

Doubt it would impact anything.

San Jose did that to Ottawa by flipping Hoffman and still were able to trade for Karlsson in the same offseason.
