Deal to make a deal. Why fox is involved is beyond me. Treliving better have things right this year, i just don't trust his judgement at all anymore

Ok. Fire Treliving. He just downgraded both the offence and the defence, and threw away a top prospect to boot.
Just terrible.

Lindholm sure as **** better score 30G/40A to make this trade digestable.

Again, cautiously optimistic. Let’s see how this shakes out in training camp, but I feel like we added up front without loosing too much on the backend.

Agreed. People need to stop being mad at a trade over a 3rd liner and a prospect not even garunteed to ever sign with the Flames. Ferland was great for us but to get both Elias and Hanafin is amazing. Hanafin is already better defensively than dougie and thats exactly what our defense needs.

That said I think we gave up a lot if the deal is as reported. Gonna wait until the final deal is reported.

I dont have a problem with this at all, especially of the Flames think Fox wasnt going to sign here. Im excited, both of these guys coming in are high end young players that will instantly make the team better.

I don't like giving up Fox. Hopefully he plays out his full four years and it won't look too bad.
Two former recent 5th overall picks coming back the other way.
Looks like we could see Gio-Brodie reunited next year.

Hanifin was projected to be a franchise defenceman. If he achieves that we've done ok out of the deal. Otherwise team that gets the best player wins the trade, which would be Carolina.

Fans of both team's are bitter because they never watch the other team so assume they got ripped off.

Scoring Winger

I feel the Flames gave up too much. But from what been tossed around, didn't look like Fox was too thrilled with the D prospect depth here in Calgary. I think we lost this trade to be honest. We lost a R shooting top line D-man and got a L shooting one in return who happend to be -20. Weren't we coveting a R shooting D-man not long ago? Wasn't that our main concern for a while?

So...
Giordano - Brodie
Hanifin - Hamonic
Kulak - Stone
Andersson
I still don't like the forwards. Lindholm is really not much of an upgrade. They'd better not throw in the towel here now.

Wow I think I hate this. Hamilton is one thing, but Ferland and Fox too? Brad better know what he's doing.
