I might swap the bottom 3 RW to Hanowski/Nemisz/Begin. I don't think Begin has the offensive tools to pull a top 6 role and is really suited for a crash and bang role.

Before he was playing injured he put up decent points in the AHL. Plus I think with how limited the Heat are in terms of veterans Begin will get ice time. It isn't like we are stacked with talent on the wing.
Its all a guess though for now though. He could end up on the fourth line. Who knows who shows up and who doesn't.
I just think a hard working veteran is going to get rewarded by Ward.

Updated line projections following camp so far? Obviously it varies depending on who makes the club. My guess if B Jones, Knight, and Bouma make the Flames is:
Wotherspoon-Sieloff
Cundari-Ramage
Breen-Billens
McKelvie, Lamb, Martin
Berra
Ortio
Keep in mind the Heat wil be playing the Flames system this year, which means players that have carved out a niche for themselves in a certain role will be used in that role. So guys like Begin will be used in a 4th line and penalty killing role, not on the 2nd line.
Sivak is a cool story. 31 years old, decides to come play in North America after years in Europe? Puts up points, too? Very cool. The older guys that try and climb the ladder are great stories to follow.

I don't know if he can stick with the Heat or not as a veteran. One thing I will say is he very small. Like Byron small. You can tell he has good skill and is pretty patient with the puck.
At the very least I can see him being a solid injury call up.
Feaster also said that any players that need to clear waivers may be held onto over the weekend until they have to declare their final roster. This way they will have a better chance of clearing waivers. What it means to me is there maybe a couple of surprising vets waived and sent down. Well maybe not that surprising but I could see Smith and MacDonald on the bubble along with maybe Jackman. Blair Jones too of course.
Something has to give with the number of d men in Abbotsford. Heat website lists 13 dmen including the new additions of Wotherspoon, Billins, and Ramage.
