If this is a common thing im back to putting samsung on the no buy list. I gave them a chance and this sucks. Doesnt matter what im doing the app opens.
Never. I don’t know if it’s malware or possibly you clicked something that let Samsung do that, but it’s definitely not normal.

Definitely not normal. Has to be an app. Try going into developer mode and see what's running in the background. Instructions here: https://www.wikihow.tech/See-What-Ap...ing-on-Android

What's the consensus on Android 10? It got pushed to my Pixel 2 a couple of days ago, but I haven't investigated into it or attempted to install it yet. I pretty much need to go with this to continue to get patches and updates I assume?

Some of the betas were garbage, but I think the finished product is very nice.

I don’t mind it on my Pixel 3XL but my phone freezes quite a bit now. Just randomly, once or twice a day where it is unresponsive until I lock it and unlock it. Audio can be a little wonky a times as well where Bluetooth headphones that are connected are just unresponsive. I didn’t have any of these issues before the update.

No issues so far with Android 10 on my Pixel 2. It took some getting used to some of the changes, but I've really come to like that when you swipe down from the top, it tells you an estimate of how long the battery will last instead of the percentage. I'm finding it's pretty accurate and I don't stress as much about my battery being below 50%, for example. Combined with Adaptive Battery and Battery Saver modes, my phone still lasts a really long time even though it's almost 2 years old.

The way Silent Notifications are initially shown on the top screen is pretty confusing and I had to look up how to "un-silent" something. Otherwise it can be pretty useful.

Looking forward to getting the pixel 4 xl. Wont have as big of a screen or battery like the mate 30 or note 10+. But it will have a 90hz screen and some pretty substantial future tech installed that will improve regularly through its life span.

And will likely still be the camera champ even after Apple has done their thing. First time in years i can get a fresh release phone. And looks like its going to be a good one.

I'm getting the 4 XL as well. I'm cautiously optimistic about the new Soli chip and the gesture features but fully expect the face unlock to be sketchy for a few months. There's a ton of potential with this technology and look forward to seeing what Google can do with it.

The OnePlus 7T was announced an hour ago.

The CAD pricing is on point!
  • $799
  • 128GB of storage.
  • Frosted Silver or Glacier Blue.

THIS is the OnePlus that should have been released earlier this year.
No moving parts.
Small, tear-drop, notch.

Now let's see what Google comes up with in the Pixel 4/XL.
The price-point will be the main focus. If they can come in similar priced, or better, then the Pixel 4/XL will win this year.

Watch the promo video and review from Mr. Mobile.

So apparently enormous camera arrays are the in thing this year? Can't say I'm fond of the look.

Honestly, you'll look at the back of your phone 0 times per year after you buy it. After having the multiple lenses on my S10 now for a few months, I could never go back. For me, cameras are the most important part of my cellphone. I use the different lenses all the time for work and for personal stuff and it's amazing the shots you can get with the lens options. I don't use Facebook or Instagram, but when my wife and I take photos she always gets me to send her the ones I took for her posts since they blow her iPhone out of the water.

I don't use my camera enough to really care, but like Sliver said, I never look at the back of my phone anyway. Just goes in a big ugly black protective case on day one either way

Ya but I'll know it's there

Dumb thing to get hung up on, no doubt. And I'm sure the pictures are unreal. I just think it looks dumb.

However....I've wanted to upgrade for a while so I'm gonna have to learn to deal with it.

A few leaks have pegged the Pixel 4 at $900 and the XL at $1200 for the 128gb. But who knows how accurate they are. I believe they are all based upon a UK retailer posting the prices early. I can't recall exactly, but that sounds close to what the 3 was last year when it launched.

Looks like a great phone, but my problem is my OP6 is still such a solid phone and great performer that I haven't the need to upgrade! What a first world problem
