Anyone watching The Last Man on Earth?

We started it last night and while I did find the first few shows pretty good, I'm not sure I can watch 3 seasons worth. The main character kind of reminds me of Jim Carrey who I can't stand.

Reviews seem good though , so will probably continue for a bit anyway.

I was saying this to someone the other day - I've never had a show irritate me so much, and yet I can't stop watching. Half way through season 2 now and I am still confused as to how I feel about it. Entertaining though for sure.

That's about the perfect description of Letterkenney to me.

just finished Dark; it was a bit tricky getting the characters and their relationships all straight, but i really thought it was a fascinating show. Really enjoyed it.

not 100% sure if it all hangs together, but suspension of disbelief is required in these types of shows (Stranger Things, Lost etc)

definitely recommending it to my group of friends

Absolutely loved the first season as a bit of a guilty pleasure show. Second season fell off a cliff. Stopped halfway through and don't miss it at all.

Black Mirror on Netflix. Hands down best show out there. Very well done and thought provoking.

So I took the suggestion of the CP faithful and started watching season 4 of Black Mirror (USS Callister). Exactly what I had been told to expect, and brilliant.

Can't wait to watch the rest of season 4 and dig back to season 3.

Thanks to those that offered that advice!

I thought Hang the DJ and Black Museum were better than USS Callister as I feel the Star Trek vibe overshadows that it's kind of an average episode.

Anyone watch Bright? Watched about 3/4 of it last night, with no idea what I was going into.

It would have to get really good reviews (which it didn't) for me to even consider watching it. I'm just getting tired of Will Smith in a leading role. This happens to an extent with a lot of successful actors but with Smith especially all I see is Will Smith being Will Smith and not the character he's supposed to portray.

He is definitely Will Smith in this movie, but I don't mind.

I'll let you know tonight when I finish it. The world of Bright is intriguing, I'm just not sure a buddy cop type movie was the best way to explore it.

Really like it.
...you loved Skeet Ulrich?

I enjoyed it. Not something that blew me away or anything, but it was fun.

I'm quite enjoying Peaky Blinders right now. Sometimes the thick accent is tough to understand but overall all pretty good show.

Re: Bright

I appreciate that they essentially tried to do a contemporary Tolkienesque movie--Law & Order: Middle Earth--but they crammed so much into it, it felt like such a mess. A tighter story would have benefited the film considerably.

However, the little details, the world-building that was thrown in like the Centaur cops in a couple scenes, the dragon flying over the city at one point and the world specific graffiti that was just kind of there - some of that was pretty cool. While I didn't care for the movie, I'd be lying if I said I weren't looking forward to revisiting the world in the sequel.

Agree, including on the accents. It helps to up the volume a bit and read lips.

The accents are thick as hell.
