Default Blues 5 Flames 1

No more games in the eastern time zone for the rest of the season. Time for the Flames to go on a run!

The game would have been entirely different if Tkachuk scored on that 2 on 1.

Well, we knew this was going to a tough one considering what happened last game against them, us being on the back to back, and how solid the Blues are at home.

Moving on...

Flames were definitely a little off today with the puck on their sticks, but overall they played a great game.

61.36% xGF% at 5v5 but outscored 4-1.

They scored 1 goal on 3.37 xGF while St. Louis scored 5 goals on 1.95 xGF.

Good effort on the second half of a back-to-back, but sometimes the bounces just don't go your way despite being the better team.

Finishing was horrible.

I lost count of how many open nets the Flames missed and how many times they shot wide with plenty of time and space.

Just really awful finishing tonight. Markstrom wasn't great and I'm not sure why he started. The bottom-six was bad. Otherwise, they were fine.

Meh, we all knew this was coming, and even then they played better than I expected.
Great to see Backlund coming back a bit.

Very concerning that if first line isn’t clicking that flames have little chance at a win . Secondary scoring is not good. First line can’t win every game for the flames . Granted they have so far this season. That’s not a good thing

Flames could you pretty please start winning some games against the west already? Curious to know what their record is compared to the east.

Don't understand the logic of starting Marky.

3 posts, half a dozen shots that dribbled wide. Gotta finish those. Too many one-and-done shots.

That's how I saw it. It was pretty even and the score flattered the Blues due to their ability to be more opportunistic. This game was a lot closer than Mondays game that's for sure.

Not the result we were hoping for tonight. Oh well. Learn from it, move on, and destroy the Canucks on Saturday.

Flames missed the net a ton.

If Tkachuk scores on that first setup from Gaudreau, it could be a very different game.

None the less, I am sure the 'Fire Treliving' crowd will manage to make an appearance.

Had chances but couldn't capitalize. Game itself seemed very close just one sides chances went in
