For me the logo triggers a weirdly specific hypothetical: CNPC buys Petro-Canada retail from Suncor and updates the branding.

Can't get over the "turkey's butthole" imagery that somebody just put into my head. Even then still not worse than Pyeongchang, but definitely worse than I thought of them yesterday.

Don't know why they'd do a uniform reveal without the intended combinations, but they wear the same gloves, pants, and helmets with each jersey. Which makes sense, because hauling over multiple sets of those to a tournament would be an absolute nightmare

Are they?
The American ones at least have the required American colours.
All 3 have red, white & blue in the design.
2 of the 3 Canadian ones don't have any white in them. They don't even look like Canadian colours.

Just stay with red and white. Without knowing who is playing and glancing at the TV, you always know who Sweden, Finland, Russia, and USA is by their jerseys. But why does Canada feel the need to go outside of red? Something in the psyche? Looking to bump sales when they go back to traditional red in '26? So strange.

I was told by someone in the know last night, that Hockey Canada had zero input or approval, apparently. Nike just sent these as the final version and said
"here you go".
