Jacob Markstrom and the Calgary Flames put an emphatic end to a lengthy, successful five-game trip.
Markstrom stopped 45 shots for his second shutout in his last three starts, and the Flames beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-0 Thursday night.
Markstrom had no business getting a shutout that night. He stole that.
But are you seriously suggesting that he was the difference between a 4-0 win and a 5-4 loss? Any competent NHL goalie will win most games when the team in front of him scores four goals.
