What an awful turn over. Lucky that didn’t bite them.

You can just feel the soft penalty call against the Flames coming.

Why can't we possess the puck in the offensive zone like other teams? Lack of skill? Coaching? We go in, get maybe one chance then out.

Who just threw the puck to Monahan in a terrible spot in his own zone? That was another terrible notion.

There is the penalty. Rasmus, you can't be taking those.

Not looking good for the Flames, you'd think Flames would come out gunning on an already tired Leafs team that played the night before. Rittich definitely has been hot after letting that 2nd goal.

Maybe this PK can get the Flames back to being settled in their own zone.

Thornton uses the butt end to interfere with Rasmus. No call, of course. And that action caused the high stick.

We were doing so well in the first and the second controlling things in our end.

Now we are turning over everything.

Mental mistakes.

None of our Dmen can shift around the blue line and join the cycle. Our cycle is 3 vs 5.

I think Sutter has done a lot to correct effort and attention to details.

...but I think in doing so he's really exposed that there's just a massive skill deficit on this team. So many players just seem incapable of executing at a high level/high pace while under pressure.

You can’t absolve Gaudreau there. Once Leafs had possession, he had responsibility to pick up Kerfoot and he wasn’t paying any attention.

I get extremely tired of the Gaudreau bashing by some who repeat the same comments over and over in the GT, but Johnny lacked intensity and awareness on that play.

The dumbest rule in hockey.
