My god, am I the only one frustrated by the complete lack of any physicality from Ryan? You play in the bottom six, throw a goddamn hit once in a while. or at the very least pin a guy against the boards.

They still need to get one more forward signed prior to the expansion draft to meet the exposure requirements. I wouldn't be surprised if that ends up being Ryan on a smaller contract.

Yup me too.

He has that feel of a Matt Cullen or Ricci or one of those guys that always went to a contender on deadline day.

Not his game. A solid part of the bottom six if you have a few capable guys who can bring the physicality without Ryan having to do it.

Say... we should look into acquiring a guy like that.

Was Zag already announced, or is it Zag and a forward?

You seem to be. I don't think I have seen another poster complain as much about the guy as you have.

Didn’t like seeing the 6th rounder going along with Bennett. I am probably nit picking but we are not in really any position to be dealing away draft capital.

Yeah who knows because he still has (2?) years after this one and we don't know if the coach and GM have clauses in their contracts if they get fired. They may not be quite on the payroll like we think.

Zagidulin was moved to the taxi squad yesterday. Looks like Domingue will be on the main roster.

Really think he could use the rest of the season down there, tbh.

I think Phillips, Philp, and Mackey would be my first three.

I continue to be baffled by how much hate Derek Ryan gets on here. He instantly solidifies our 4th line no matter who he plays with, and chips in some solid offense given his role. He leads the team in goals against (per 60), and is second only to Tanev in expected goals against (per 60).

Walked away with 2 picks in next year’s draft, plus a decent prospect that probably ranks in our teens.

I think that’s a solid day.

I'll miss having Rittich and Bennett on the team. Two very conversation-worthy Flames.

You are frustrated because that's not his game and never has been.
So you constantly asking him to be physical is like getting frustrated that Chris Tanev doesn't score enough goals.

Stephan Yelle was also not a particularly physical player.

He's a good defensive forward who plays a smart game and chips in.
He's not physical but uses positioning and stick work to check.

Nothing wrong with that.

I will judge this day based on what happens in the off-season. On paper, I like these returns.

There had better be a bigger shakeup coming, and I’m sure there is.

Glad to see these guys get a chance elsewhere, they deserve it.

Really wish we could have offloaded Ryan/Stone/Nesterov/Nordstrom. Guess this means that no one was giving up anything for these guys, reflects on where the team's at
