"His final act as a Vancouver Giant was hoisting the now century-old trophy high over his head - the hometown kid savoring a once-in-a-lifetime moment that remains a career capstone.
But what really got everyone's attention was what transpired about two hours earlier - a legendary, 55-second spin forever enshrined as 'The Shift,' where he pancaked Matt Lowry, Jakub Rempel and Trevor Glass of the Medicine Hat Tigers, before squaring off with the equally burly Jordan Bendfeld and earning the decision, raising the roof at the Pacific Coliseum.
It was the stuff of legend."
"I remember the first day of camp, walking in and seeing this beast of a 19-year-old lurking around the dressing room," laughed Shawn Thornton, a lifelong friend and former Bruins teammate. "I was chatting and introducing myself to one of our scouts, and I was like, 'Who is this mutant?!'
A good story and a good guy. Milan's become a real fan favorite here for a lot of fans.

Lucic was one of the players who I didn't like on the Bruins (or Oilers obviously), but now that he is a Flame, I like him despite high salary - seems like a good guy and a great team mate.
BT has his moments. The Looch trade didn't quite fix the mistake of signing the player we traded away, but it sure helped. So happy we have Looch instead of he who shall not be named.

One GD beauty to another. Man, I hope Iginla works for this organization at some point in the near future.
So....could Iggy have beat 19 year old Looch?
He did best Engelland who had some close ones with Looch.

Congratulations to him. A guy who cares about his teammates and looks after the star players especially on the team.
My favorite Lucic moment as an Oiler was scoring the 2-2 goal late against Anaheim in a regular season game in April and Draisaitl scored the overtime winner.
Forwards with 1000 GP, 1000 PIM and 200 goals. its not a super-exclusive list or anything but still pretty nice company , of a lot of pretty good and mostly honest players
list is ranked by GP- again its not that exclusive a list- but you read through it and you see a bunch of guys from the 80s (where PIMs ran wild and so did scoring) and a bunch of other guys who are just there because they played forever. and not surprisingly 2 Sutters (Brian only played 779 games or he would be there too) but just lots of guys from the family of players where I think Lucic belongs . one of my favorite player types- the hard nosed power forward who can score
lots of Flames connections on the list too
