I don't generally tend to try crazy toppings (Hawaiian is as far out as I'll go), but the Beef Bulgogi pizza was surprisingly really well done. The beef was high quality ribeye sliced thinly, and marinated perfectly, so it's not too sweet or not too salty. The mix of bulgogi, sliced serrano peppers, and mozzarella/cheddar cheese blend and the fresh tomato sauce was amazing.
They have other interesting pizza toppings like sweet corn and honey butter chips (Koreans would relate to this flavor combo), spicy Buldak fried chicken (this is seriously spicy), and a mushroom pizza.
We went here to try out their Korean Fried Chicken, but ended up loving the pizza more.
The chef is Jinhee Lee from Top Chef Canada, and she also was the chef at Foreign Concept. They also have an extensive cocktail menu, as well as some house draft beer which is pretty decent.
If you're up for a unique pizza place, I'd highly recommend Jinbar.

I love Jin Bar. Shout out to the honey butter chip, corn, and jalapeno pizza. I love it.

Had Sunday Pie for dinner tonight. Did the pepperoni and the Hawaiian. So much left overs. So delicious.
Support them if you like Detroit style pizza. Great owners!

I don't know how Calgarians feel about this place. But I had the random Craving for the Chicago DEEP DEEP DEEP dish pizza...
That stuff was just incredible late nights. One with shrimp and all of the other random toppings.

^ When I was younger we would order from Chicago Deep Dish in Midnapore. I liked it fine back then. As an adult I've realized that it is objectively bad pizza. I suppose like you said, it is better late night fare.

It's only $20/pizza which is on the lower end for non-fast food pizza. It's not great pizza, it's not little ceaser's either. Always found it fairly priced.
Although it's much closer to Detroit style pizza than Chicago pizza. If anything I'd describe it as square prairie style pizza on a thick crust.

Based on some Asian-inspired toppings I've had (Thai curry chicken; bulgogi beef), I could get behind the flavour profile, though I'm not sure if baking (sometimes already chewy) ginger beef on a pizza would achieve the result you're hoping for.

The purists are going to lose their #### at that sentence.
But I would certainly give that a whirl if it was out there.

Anyone have any recommendations for pizza places around Willow Park? I'm fairly new to the area and I'm struggling to find a good pizza joint that delivers here. Personal favourite is Michaels

Throw some pineapples on there too, and...ok, now I'm thinking sweet and sour pork pizza.

I like donairs, I like pizza. I have not had a donair pizza that I've enjoyed.
That said, I'm certain one exists, but it may just be because I'm not a fan of the super sweet sauce that most use.
