I imagine he’ll be tending goal for a few games in Calgary while the main goalies are in China.

I'm sure he'll enjoy his free trip to China.

I would think he’ll be staying behind while Rittich, Smith and Gillies travel.

Entirely possible. Someone floated the idea the other day that the backups could stay behind to battle it out as Smith would likely start both games in China. I was thinking that Glass could be a guy to warm the bench on that trip but time will tell.

I'm sceptical. The Flames NHL roster will play only two games in five days in China, while the rest of the campers play three or four leading into the third weekend of September. Once the main camp in back in Calgary there will still be four more preseason games before opening night. In short, I don't know that anything is gained by sending one or both of Rittich and Gillies to China, and there will still be plenty of games in which they will have opportunities to play for the starting roster spot after the China series ends. The more I think about it, the more I believe that both Rittich and Gillies will stay in Calgary.

You could say the Flames are really breaking the Glass ceiling.

Above all else, China is about team bonding. I’ll be absolutely surprised if Rittich and Gillies are not both in China.

Glass played all three games for Chicago against the Flames last year and went 0-1-2.
The first two games, he allowed 4 goals on 39 shots and lost both games in the first minute of OT.
In his one regulation loss to the Flames, he wasn't even in goal when the GWG was scored. The Flames led 2-1 late and Glass was pulled. Monahan scored an ENG with just under 2 minutes left. Kane scored late to make the score 3-2, but the Flames held on for the win.
