Everything's coming up Johnny Gaudreau
Well written article from ESPN, I liked reading about their trip to watch the football game

In the NHL, Gaudreau didn't record a point in his first 6 games.
|
Lies, he scored in his first NHL game against the Canucks the previous year.

Good on the Flames for cancelling practice so he could go. He deserves it.

And I was lucky enough to see it live. I didn't realize he scored at first though because I was so pissed off at the Flames getting spanked.

Johnny got so much hate when he first came into the league from all the usual eastern analysts who don’t like the Flames. Dreger, Healy etc
Awesome to see him become a top player. I think he is undoubtedly in the conversation for best winger in the league

It's a bit weird to see all the TSN and Sportsnet guys still call him Johnny Hockey every highlight package. I forget that he even has that nickname since we all just call him Gaudreau on here.

I recall Feaster getting a lot of heat for drafting him so early.

You might be thinking about Jankowski. I dont recall anyone having any beef with picking Johnny in the 4th round.

Me neither. There was skepticism later on, like in camp, due to his size. And Healy didn't like his nickname, but that was after the start of his rookie season (right before he broke out - thanks Glen).

'Things Glen Healy dislikes that are actually awesome' would be a hell of a long list.

I know goaltending is a concern but theres no way Gaudreau for Carter Hart is a fair trade.
