I tried it a while ago. It wasn't that hot, just more spices than the regular (which isn't that hard). I liked it, but haven't had the urge to have it again though. Unlike Olive Chicken to which I have weekly urges I must suppress...

Ah too bad.. Nando's is my current spicy chicken trying-not-to-eat-weekly. Not overly spicy but sooooo tasty.

I have been hearing constant commercials about the ghost pepper chicken wings. Anybody try them? Are they actually hot or just so-so?

Well.....there goes healthy cholesterol levels. That's in my hood too. And I do love me some popcorn shrimp and a biscuit. Fries are tasty too.

I can’t believe there aren’t many in the South. It seems like everywhere I go in the north there is a Popeye’s.

That's because that's where all the ethnic people live. And the ethnic's love their chicken!

That's pretty weird. Six locations in Calgary now and not one is south of 17th Ave S.

That's because the north is the best!
Actually, I may need to try another location. The one near Deerfoot and McKnight is starting to disappoint. The last two times, I've had to park and wait because they had no chicken ready and the last time, I got home to discover that had forgotten my biscuit.

I don't get the hype. Sure it's better than KFC (I consider 7-Eleven grade chicken) but the chicken is just okay, the fries are soggy, and the sides vary from bad to okay. IMO the chicken tenders are the best thing on the menu.

I've only been to the one on 17th Ave SW, and I feel the same. The wait is always waaaay too long, the sides are not good (excluding the biscuits), and the chicken is good, but not great.
If I'm going to get chicken in the area, I generally will go to Nando's.
If I'm getting some fried chicken, it's going to be from a Korean Shop.
