Gawdin at ppg after 40 games (15-25-40 +13). Next callup I'd wager.

Would love to take a look at Gawdin, but Czarnik is over a PPG as well. Something tells me we haven't seen the last of him. Quine leads the team in PPG, but doesn't have a right shot like the other 2. Gawdin is 6 years younger than the other 2, so it will be interesting to see who gets the call.

Goalies really are a box of chocolates

Gillies is having an okay season, but posting a 0.909 SP in his fourth year in the AHL as a 26-year-old is not especially impressive. I would be encouraged to see him dominate that League, which is something that Gillies has never done.

Losing Phillips and now Lomberg to injury, plus Robinson to recall and the Heat have taken a major hit to their top 6.

After this trip to Iowa, the Heat only leave the state of California one more time for the rest of the season. They go to Tucson for a series in a couple of weeks, then it's all California dreamin' until the playoffs.

Colorado and Ontario have really closed the gap on Stockton in recent weeks, finishing top 2 in the division is alot more up in the air now when before it looked like it should be a certainty. Fortunately for the Heat, Tucson has also slipped recently so first place isn't out of the equation.
