The people who are getting outraged at her decision are the same that come away offended by the questionare provided by Canadian Blood services. We should pay them no heed.

Isn't all blood tested regardless of what you put on the form?

Yes, but no test is perfect and there is a period of time during the initial infection period where HIV is not usually detectable.

Men having sex with men account for almost 3/4s of new HIV infections, and are what? 5-10% of the population?

By screening out these individuals, based on numbers alone, it is a significantly higher risk than the average heterosexual person.

I'm not at all shocked to hear that "her body, her choice" only applies when it suits certain political narratives.

On the other hand if anyone in any other profession said I'm not working with Bi people they would be skewered. How do you feel about Porn stars who won't work with Black people?

I think Thiugh could be convinced otherwise this needs to be her choice regardless of reason. If not safety related though it still would be homophobic or racist behaviour.

I don’t think anyone is intent on passing laws to stop her from choosing who she might have had sex with, but it’d be interesting if it went that way.

“Her body, her choice” doesn’t preclude anyone talking about the morality surrounding the choice, just that ultimately the choice rests on the woman. Don’t see how this is different.

It is incredulous to label someone homophobic for refusing to have sex with someone who has not been tested for STDs, especially since the person in question is regularly having sex with new partners who have also not been tested.
I doubt the regime for Gay porn is any less than for straight, its a sad story no doubt, I've worked with a number of kids in various areas of the sex trade, all of them had their issues that led them to what is a fairly unhealthy life in the end.
