Default Best Place to Order a HD?

Thanks to Rathji, I know where to order cables. Now, if I want a nice big external HD for my downloads, what's the best place to order one? I'm specifically looking at this one, but I assume there is a reputable online merchant with a better price:

Thanks.

Actually that's an amazing price itself.

Usually I check out memoryexpress for HD's.

You're not going to beat that price if you want a 3TB drive simply because they don't make 3TB drives normally.

You can usually either buy the HDD + enclosure together or HDD + enclosure separately. It's often cheaper the second way because you are able to put whatever harddrive you want into it and therefore have much more choice since you choose the drive and box separately.

If you are stuck on that much space, that is a pretty good deal. I think there are some better options if you might need more space long term though.

What I would do if I was planning on needing a lot of space is get a NAS or Windows Home Server. Especially if you would like to have some form of redundancy, in the form of RAID.

Even a dual enclosure like this would work, and it has a few raid options as well.

For a cheaper option, with some more flexibility: dual hard drive dock, which would allow you to have a large drive, say 2TB for your main storage and the ability to swap in extra hard drives for stuff you don't need access to all the time. Even if you didn't want the ability to swap out drives, pick up 2 x 2TB drives for $89 each or 2 x 1.5TB drives for $79 each, and then HDD Dock, is $245 for 4TB storage or $225 for 3TB.
