I don't know if he qualifies as a celebrity but I just noticed that Larry Wood, former Herald sports editor, died Feb. 15. He covered 50 Briers, 13 Olympic games and the arrival of the Calgary Flames. He's in the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame. His interests were wider than sports, including travel and geography.

Willie Nelson’s sister and bandmate, Bobbie Nelson, has died. She was 91.
Bobbie, who was a pianist, singer and a member of the band Willie Nelson and Family, passed away Thursday morning, “peacefully and surrounded by family.”
Bobbie toured with her brother for more than five decades. She was the original member of the Willie Nelson and Family Band as a pianist and singer.
Conrad Janis, a prolific character actor of TV, film and stage who had already become immediately recognizable even before landing his signature role opposite Robin Williams and Pam Dawber in the hit ’70s sitcom Mork & Mindy, died March 1 in Los Angeles. He was 94.
Actor Mitchell Ryan, who had a career in stage, film and TV lasting more than 50 years, has died at the age of 88.
Ryan was best known for appearing in Lethal Weapon, and for his role in the TV sitcom Dharma & Greg.
Other roles included soap operas Dark Shadows in the 1960s and Santa Barbara in the 1980s.

Three decades earlier, Stahl began a lengthy stint on Take the High Road (1982-2003), the rural Scottish Television soap opera later rebranded as High Road. He was farmer Tom Kerr, better-known to viewers and other characters as Inverdarroch.
