I would totally take that bet
Go big or go home
Sidney or the bush
I'm assuming the loser actually has to buy the jersey the winner doesn't supply it?
cause if you have to buy it then you can put any name or number that you want to like
ENG
This team blows
my parents went to Edmonton and all I got was this stupid dress.

Did we honestly have one Gulutzan-initiated review that went our way last year? I remember getting screwed multiple times from opposing coach reviews but I can't recall one time we had a successful review that Gulutzan asked for.

Key is to stay away from the pissing matches on the main board.
Some of the team boards and the prospects boards are good to get an idea on a team or individual player that you may not get to see often.
But yeah the trade board and the general NHL pages are just terrible.

Its pretty much the Oilers board because honestly their Oiler only boards out there are graveyards.

As long as he's willing to double up and wear a Flames jersey at the next game in Edmonton after the Flames win game 2 then sure!

I think the Flames on paper are just as good (or even better) than the Oilers or Ducks, but they have to believe it as well. Confidence is a prerequisite for success, and unless our guys believe that they can beat those teams, they won't. I like the way our schedule starts this season, on the road in Edmonton for kickoff and not too long after that on the road at the Honda center for game 3. Although this team could go on to lose both of those games and have a stellar season, I still think that those will be fairly critical litmus tests for this club.

Or how the Flames should've been right in it in game 1 until the Wideman effect met the McDavid effect with that phantom grab, right after several Oilers lumberjacked Gaudreau at the other end.
No strange D pairings, no Wideman, no Grossman, and the team not being ice cold to Gulutzan's system should help in this season opener though.
We never seem to face Anaheim early in the season and the Ducks are traditionally a slow starting team. So of course we get them when they're starting to gel and get hot usually. This time there may be a good chance to stick a fork in that streak right off the hop, which would help set the tone for the season. One can hope.

Nothing groundbreaking but always fun to see these articles popping up. New one on MSN today.

“Just wait until Nuge gets his ‘old-man strength’!”
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard variations of that statement over the time Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been in Edmonton, but forgive me for feeling the expression itself is getting old faster than RNH himself seems to be.

That's just another trade loss that Chia really can't afford to have happen.
I keep hearing from Oiler fans that RNH is a strong two way player, but I look at his face off percentages, how weak he is along the board and his floating through the neutral zone and all I can say is "What the frack are you talking about"
In a battle between Backlund and RNH its not even close.
Of the two realistically Backlund is the 6 million dollar valuation and RNH is closer to 3.
But the Oilers are going to badly need the cap space, but RNH's contract is going to kill any returns for him. I also don't see a lot of teams that are desperately searching for a weak, inconsistent, offensive center without much offense who doesn't do anything particularly well.
If Oiler fans are pissed off about the return for "Ebs", they're going to lose their nut on the sell off of the "Nuge".
I've said in the past that beyond Draisaitl, McDavid and Talbot, the Oilers are an underwhelming team in terms of depth and talent, and as bad as RNH is, you take him out of that equation, and at that point the three above players won't be enough, especially with very little coming out of their prospect pool.
I would expect that any trade will involve the Oilers either eating contract (which they can't really afford to do), or taking back a similarly bad player with a bad contract and maybe saving a million or two.
But I don't see a huge market for a 6 million dollar player who gets sand kicked in his face on a nightly basis and doesn't really do great offensively or defensively.

I've done the jersey bet befure (with our last names on the back to make it extra insulting), but just to work the next day.
Not a chance would I take that bet to wear in the opposing rink though.

Noting in the Jersey bet says what jersey you have to wear or what it has to look like, eh?
Possibilities, in the unlikely event you lose:
1. Wear a Dubnyk jersey.
2. Wear a Yakupov jersey.
3. Wear a Houston Oilers jersey.
