How about hammer to the hand like in Casino? Then he can still have some use out of his hand after it is bandaged up for a while.

I think we've already seen that Rick can be hurt by watching him go crazy when his wife dies. He held it together so well for the good of the group for so long, they are as hard as they are now because of him. That showed when he broke down and they were able to keep it together and move forward.
If you mean hurt PHYSICALLY, well then ya, need something to happen, but I think we've seen already that Rick isn't as big of a rock as people thought. There was a lot of realism to his reaction.

Another popular comics character will be appearing on the show's mid-season finale on December 2: http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/11/15/th...mic-exclusive/
Quote:
Season 3 of The Walking Dead has added some of the most iconic characters from the comic book on which the show is based. We’ve been treated to Michonne (and her pets), the Governor, zombie Penny, and even a female version of Doc Stevens. But according to Robert Kirkman, who is the creator of the comic and exec producer of the TV adaptation, we’re about to see another big name character make the leap from page to screen, and it’s going to happen very soon — in the fall finale on Dec. 2, to be specific. “There’s a new character added,” says Kirkman of episode 8. “A big deal fan favorite from the comic book is introduced into the show in this episode, so be on the lookout for that.”
|
No confirmation from Kirkman who it will be, but Tyreese seems like a good bet. Chad Coleman (who played the boxing coach on The Wire) has been seen around Atlanta, where the show is filmed.

Too early for Abraham.. and not even sure if he is a fan favourite or what. Unless they are routed from the prison already this season?
Tyreese is a good bet.

If it's Tyreese then Oscar is going to die, there is only 1 black guy in the group at a time for some reason.

I think the reason why Tyrese's death was so significant was because he was the second most important character in the story at that point. He was brutally murdered with no build up in a way that characters of his stature are not killed. I can't see Andrea's death (at least the shows version) having that same impact.

To me, Abraham always felt like a poor-man's Tyreese replacement anyway.
Really, I can't think of any character, other than Tyreese, who I would call a "big deal fan favourite" from the comics who hasn't already been introduced on the show.

so i was positive that they weren't going to have any Governor raping stuff in the TV series, since that subject is kinda terrible and Michonne took off. but the preview for next week with Maggie tied to a chair in a room as the Governor comes in is looking kinda ominous. if they do actually go down that route that's gonna have to set some kind of bar for hardcore in a cable TV series

The way they've created this Governor I don't think we'll see a rape scene occur, unless he tosses Maggie to Merle or some of his henchmen.
David Morrissey's Governor doesn't seem sadistic/pathologically insane in the same way as the original Governor from the comics. He's ruthless, evil & just a wee bit nutty (Penny's still there after all) but not in the overwhelming way that we saw in the comics.
I think I believe the TV version of the Governor more than I did in the comics because he's got shades of reality -with good points & bad points - that make him much more believable imho. Can't wait to see what Andrea does when she finds out just how bad he is....

Chad Coleman is a very good actor IMO, I like him alot. I haven't read the comics but I hope it's true.

I think it would be awesome if cuddy appeared in the show.
I always took Darryl to kind of be in the role of Tyrese though, as the number 2 and muscle to rick. I wonder what the impact on that dynamic would be if tyrese is the new character. Maybe a VP and sgt-at-arms type arrangement like sons of anarchy?

Well if they were planning to get rid of Daryl this would be the perfect time to bring in Tyrese. However, Daryl is probably the most popular guy in the show... so that isn't likely. Maybe they plan to send Daryl off with Merle for a bit... create a story line there and Tyrese is supposed to fill in for him while he is gone.
Then have some Rambo like come back at the season finale where Daryl returns to save the day..

It be great to see Michonne kill Merle just as him and Daryl reunite... bringing conflict between 2 of the badass characters... just a idea.

I doubt Darryl dies, he is the main character in the video game coming out next year.

He's also pretty much the most likeable and fleshed out character in the series. In a show that's had a lot more bad characters than good, I can't see his name getting put on the chopping block.

So the last episode of this season is called "Made to Suffer". With Glenn and Maggie back at Woodbury, does Maggie get the rapin' and Glenn gets crazy retribution on the Governor?

We have a long way to go before the end of the season, how do we know Glen and Maggie will still be in Woodbury?

That's not the last episode of the season, just the last episode of this half.
The season is split up into halves like last year.
