Who ever designs beauty product containers needs a good boot to the junk. Most seem to come in tall, thin, possibly top heavy containers, making the bathroom cabinet a trap of dominoís.

I think itís a small price to pay for increased efficiency.

How are you defining widespread? Making minor changes to allow for a slight increase in deliveries under very strict conditions doesnít seem to fit the bill. When you have to use hyperbole to make your argument itís generally not a good sign.

Also when did I say drone delivery wouldnít become a thing? It already exists. When you have to resort to putting words into peopleís mouths, thatís also not a good sign.

If you bothered to read cliffís post that I was responding to, you ought to have noticed that he stated he expected all deliveries to be done by drone at some point. My argument remains there are too many hurdles to make that happen and provided reasoning, your retort so far has been to call me naive, post a couple of opinion pieces that donít even debunk what Iím saying, and a solid amount of nuh-uhís.(Iím paraphrasing that one)

Did you go do that research on the number of packages delivered in major urban centres and considered what that looks like in the skies yet? While youíre at it take a look at the pace package delivery is growing and consider how long itíll take until the entire sky in a city like New York would be essentially blacked out by drones. Iím giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming you are actually looking to inform yourself on the subject and not just obtusely digging your heels in on your opinion.

Baffling. I'll remain on my position that every type of delivery method will be replaced in the coming decades, in fact drone deliveries will likely be one of the easier and quicker ones to come about.
I for one canít wait to have a couch delivered directly to my house by drone. Heads up everyone!

Disagree.

Autonomous operation isnít more skilled than a human. It is less prone to error, sure, but thatís entirely different.

I think this is dramatically underestimating the amount of input we are receiving and reacting to, without even thinking about it, every time we drive.

Some IKEA couches already come in multiple pieces. As transporting large items becomes a more and more specialized service, costs for it will rise. Manufacturers and retailers will see that as an impediment to their sales and will just produce and sell easier to ship products to the masses. Your couch will now arrive in 16 small boxes by drone.

Unitized couches will be for the rich only.

My bother had two catalytic convertors stolen from his motor home at his acreage. Security cameras didn’t get them as the criminals likely entered from the side.

Jokes about expensive wood, they're so tired already. Yes, wood has gone up in price but it hasn't even close to doubled.

You're right, the price of wood has more than quadrupled.

Current price is $1670 per thousand board feet. Was under $400 a year ago.

If you have some secret source where prices are up less than double I'd be interested. I just paid $59 for two pressure treated 2x6 (12 foot lengths).
