Ya was just going to add, the Johnson thing was before they announced the GoT directors would be in charge. I imagine the split will be more towards them with Johnson helming perhaps his own movie or movies, but in the end I have faith in the GoT crew.

The Games of Thrones guys are capable of story driven misdirection on a pretty elite scale. Rian Johnson tries the same thing but doesn't understand how to connect it to the narrative.

It's like an excited 8 year old playing a pick up game with Micheal Jordan and Larry Bird.

Johnson will be a horrible anchor for the rest of the creative team.

So much for hoping they'd put someone competent at the helm
This should be Lawrence Kasdan.

I just really think that they have to do an old republic movie trilogy

The founding of the republic, the Sith Empire, armies of Force users wrecking planets. Lightsabers powered by huge backpack batteries.

The Sith turning on themselves.

I'd love to see a Darth Bane movie thought the trilogy of books isn't canon anymore, the rise of the rule of two. Bane destroying the Sith and the Brotherhood of darkness. Out of the Legends EU, this was probably one of my favorite stories.

I agree. The Bane trilogy was amazing and is easily the best of all the novels. Due to Bane I'm interested in reading the novels from earlier in the timeline but fully expect to be disappointed because Bane sets the bar high.

Any of the books by Drew are amazing. Plagius was a great book. I wish they would have continued the Sith Lord series as there was a rumored Cognus book series coming, and her back story was amazing.

Also anything by Lucerno is quite good, Dark Lord the Rise of Darth Vader is an excellent book

I just finished reading the Legacy of the Force series where Jacen becomes Darth Caedus and it was a better read the second time around.

Also in the old republic series Deceived is very good as it follows Darth Malgus who is a great character.

As is tradition with all new Star Wars films, Vanity Fair has a new cover story on The Rise of Skywalker, with new on-set photos by Annie Leibovitz and interviews with the cast and crew.

At first I thought they were the fallen jedi that left the academy with Kylo after burning it down and killing everyone.

But the other theory that I have is that they're former members of Palpatine's imperial guard.

That would make them how old?

Probably really old, in their 80's? But we know that in a GFFA life span never seems to be a question.

The other thing that they could be is the worst of the nastiest of the children kidnapped to make their army.

Or dumn dumn dah. They could be Clones of Jango Fett that were discovered hidden away.

It's confirmed by Vanity Fair who they are.

I skimmed the article but couldn't see that mentioned, beyond assuming what we are already assuming. Anywhere specific you can point out?

We already assume they are Ren's buddies from the Academy as it's said in the movies he 'vanished with a handful of students.'

Fair enough. I don't think they would give that away in the Vanity Fair article. I figured you were also speculating as to who the photo was actually of.

After over a decade of fans petitioning it to happen, a KOTOR movie is finally in the works

https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article...e-old-republic

Going to keep my expectations very low, can't see how this could possibly live up to all the years of hype
