Give me Valimaki and the black aces. I'm sure they want to play, cause some of these guys sure don't.

That was a worse effort than 2006 Game 7 vs Anaheim.

I haven't ragged on the guy much this year since I thought if he played well in the playoffs then who cares..........but James Neal is not doing anything. He's not scoring. He can't skate.

I had no idea that contract would be so terrible so quickly. What happened to him?

Notwithstanding the brutal reffing, the Flames need to get their heads out of their butts and play for the first 30 minutes like they played for quite a bit of the last 30.

Starting to play hard, skate and hit half way through a game down by four goals isn't going to get you far.

The Avs have outworked, outmuscled, outskated and out-everything-else'd the Flames.

That was, quite possibly the worst playoff game I've seen the Flames play since coming to Calgary. (There might have been worse, but I can't recall seeing one.)

Just awful.

I am extremely dissapointed in Peters so far. He is not getting good matchups, not getting his best players the ice they need and way overplaying useless players like Brodie and Neal. He couldn't make a single adjustment the last two games, had zero emotion all night and just seems like he's in over his head.

End chicken Little rant.

Only down 2-1. Embrace underdog status and SIMPLIFY. SHOTS ON NET. REBOUNDS. AVOID OVER PASSING.

It's hard not to feel the team wasn't well prepared for this series in the first place and that the emotional flow of the series has been poorly managed and responded to on the Flames' side. Those are the things a coach needs to be taking care of.

Agreed, this is an embarrassing thread title. Refs weren’t the reason why the Flames were completely dominated.

Their effort was invisible, poor decision making, no commitment to team defense. Top line not generating enough. Same can be said about the second line. Third line so bad. Fourth line, not bad.

But wow absolutely nothing went the Flames way. And i mean nothing. Full two minute 5 on 3 for the Avs after Backlund hit's a shot square off the post. Whatever Av diving in front of a puck with Grubauer out of position. Gaudreau's shot off Cole's face. Officiating was incomprehensible.

What a terrible game.

Giordano was even invisible!!

Not sure this team can handle the Avs speed. I will be surprised if this team wins this series.

At this point in the season this team is not good enough to beat the Avs. The rebuild needs to continue. Disappointed in several millionaires. Gaudreau at the top of the list.

Looked a lot like the Canes/Caps game, actually.
The Caps know how to rebound.
Hears hoping the Flames learn to

This x 1000.

Game 4 is going to say a lot about this “core”. Nobody gives a damn about 99 regular season points, that doesn’t get your name on the cup.

It's sad how there's one clear turning point you can pinpoint where something went wrong for them, bad bounce, call, whatever, and it just goes the other way that point on.

These guys need to show enough heart to turn it BACK in their favour.

Enough feeling sorry for themselves.

Dracarys the last two, dust yourselves off, chin up, and put on your goddamn work boots.

My optimism is pretty much shot at this point. After the way they played the first 3 games, it’s gonna take a miracle in my opinion.

If I’m peters, I’d sit Brodie and fantenburg for sure, the backend needs a shakeup. Not sure what you can do about the forwards though...

It wasn’t supposed to be like this
