It gives you home ice in the Final.

Considering how well Florida does at home, you have to think Colorado would love to win the President's Trophy just in case we get a repeat of the 1996 Final.

Vegas officially eliminated.

Remember this summer when the Flames were in need of a rebuild and desperately needed Eichel? Then Vegas acquired him, and their LTIR was coincidentally just high enough to give them enough cap space to do so?
