The purpose is definitely to deter homeless people. I believe this particular installment is in China. It's also obviously not U-turns because all lanes have cars travelling in the same direction.
That's really cool, but is it legal to fly right amongst the buildings like that in downtown?
Yes, there are very few restrictions for drones under 250g. The restrictions have to do with airport approaches. Further out on approach it’s 150m or 120m limits, a little closer in (say Inglewood - North) it’s 60m. The app comes with a map with all the restricted spaces and GPS informs you of what is applicable precisely where you are.

While I understand the rules are a bit different for sub-250's, I thought that the basic one of "You can't fly it over people (or cars)" still holds true, regardless of weight.
At least in Calgary we provide rounded pillow rocks for our homeless comforts, and the rainbow isn't photoshoped, either.
Spoiler!
Fun fact: We technically never got permission to paint the rocks from the city, but my kids just started doing it, so you know. Better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.

That sums up my buddy's chihuahua up to a tee. He's only friendly to women, specifically Asian women as my buddy's wife is Viet/Filipino. He only tolerates her husband out of fear, but retaliates out-of-spite by pissing on whatever he owns. He will attempt to bite any other male that comes to the house, except for me after the first few visits. The only reason I can think of is that my wife is also Asian and he can somehow smell her on me. They ended up having to always have him in newborn baby diapers to stop the pissing indoors, and my buddy is actively waiting for him to die, as he's pretty old now. I think the dog is hanging on simply to spite him though

Well thanks for that, love biking through there!
