For sure. I wanted the guy as well on the Flames. His attitude has made me reconsider, personally. Good player but not what the flames needed at all.

I did too but not at all costs...I was more talking about the idea the Vegas would never have to deal with the cap and it certainly wouldn't hurt them this season ect.

The return is pretty massive in retrospect

and lol @ the fake Tkachuk rumors, will beat Eichel's career best by 20 points or more this season

The Kings have 6 more points against eastern conference teams than western conference teams

Flames will finish 1st in the division and this will give us a tougher first round match up. I guess tho it's worth it for round 2 hone ice.

Just gotta make that 2nd round.

If you can’t beat the wildcard teams you’re not going to beat colorado.

I hope the flames punish Dallas and Nashville in the last 2 reg season games.

That last game against Nashville won't mean anything though, as the Flames will have the division wrapped up and will likely be resting guys. I'm assuming Nashville will also have their ticket punched by then.

Hasn't Colorado failed to get past the second round in forever?
It seems like they're more beatable in the playoffs than people think.

I’d say Minnesota and especially St. Louis have a good shot at knocking them out

Correct, but they, like the Flames, are a different team this year, and this could be the year. Washington eventually broke out. I expect the panthers will at some point as well. The past is a poor predictor for the future when changes have been made

I guess Vegas and Vancouver are the flies in the ointment. If they get 8/10 points or more, they could sneak into WC spot or third in the division. One more loss for either and seems like they are really on life support.

Last night must have been crushing for Canucks fans. That's really too bad.

Saturday could be the last nail in the coffin. Would bring me joy seeing that, and on HNIC.

So was Tampa. Until they weren't.

They probably lose to Minnesota, that'll be the final nail

St Louis might be the deepest team when it comes to their forward group in the playoffs.

7 x 20 goal scorers (33, 28, 26, 25, 24, 24, 22) with Thomas (19) and O’Reilly (17) right there.

Their entire top 9 are essentially 20 goal scorers.

Aren't they in the bottom of the league defensively this season? Seems strange they went from a defensive to an offensive team.

4th fewest goals against in the west with 222 after CGY (193), COL (209), and VAN (217).

I just hope vegas doesn’t make it.

Not sure if it really matters who the flames play. All of the teams in the playoffs will be good.

They are actually one of the hottest teams right now. Smith isn’t letting in the first shot every game like usual.
