Goff and Mahomes are going to get $40 million a year if guys like Dak are making $25-30 million.
Lol at the hot take here. Dak is a fine starter, better than most but not as good as some IMO.

Dak is basically in the Tannehill/Dalton class of good enough to pay him $25 million and hope he takes about four more steps, even though deep down you know he never will. A good chunk of his last 20 games have been below 200 passing yards, and this in the Madden on easy era of passing. His ceiling is elite game manager pretty much. If that's fine or good QB play, dink and dunk is the future of football which obviously sucks.

6th highest scoring offense in the league? I'd hardly call that terrible. I'm not going to call them world beaters but they rank in the top half of most offensive stats that I've seen. Hardly terrible.

Also Bear down! Great win when they needed it with a backup! Shortest 2 game turnaround in NFL history

4 sacks already; the vast improvement of the Saints DL is a huge part of the defensive turnaround. Rankins having a breakout season

All 3 touchdowns by Brees have been by undrafted players. Unreal

Green Bay and Minnesota game could be a potential season ender for the loser at this point.

10 straight Ws, just keep it going. Was impressed with the D, Rankins, Anzalone and Lattimore especially

You know what's funny? I just looked it up, and Jacksonville actually was 6th in total yards and 5th in scoring last year. Really shows how much QB play blinds us now.

I'd also wager a strong bet that you haven't watched many Chicagi games this year. Trubisky is far from being written off in his 2nd year and has looked the part to run this offense. There are worse starting quarterbacks in the NFL than MT.

I feel your years of Winston and Freeman have made you bitter towards quarterbacks

Made a Black Friday impulse purchase last night on a ridiculously cheap flight to New Orleans, so I'm now going to be there the week of the divisional round of the playoffs. If the Saints aren't there they aren't there, but I liked the odds. But for some reason I thought the next closest team behind us in the standings (aside from Rams) was a glutton of 6-5 teams...it wasn't until after I made the purchase I remembered the 8-3 Bears, 2 back of us in 3rd in the NFC.

I've always kinda had a soft spot for the Bears (all Chicago teams actually), and DropIt I appreciate your quasi Saints fandom from your wife...but stay the heck back of us for a bye position!! Saints don't play at home again for a month, man I'm gonna be nervous now going down the stretch here. I've seen the Saints live twice but never at home, lock down this bye!!

Don't leave out the Fitzmagic portion, at least that was fun. The Bears are on national TV a lot so yeah I have seen probably half their games at least. I'm not saying Trubisky is a bust per se, just that when he isn't playing the Bucs defense his ceiling appears to be competent NFL starter. Which, to be fair, is all the Bears needed to be a playoff team, and I said that at the start of the year. But that's the thing about NFL QBs right now, you take out the top 10-12 guys and the next 12-14 guys are pretty much interchangeable, the difference between them isn't much.

Basically my issue is with claiming Trunisky is worth lately half of 25 million in 2 years. Trubisky right now is playing well above guys like Alex Smith, Blake Bortles, Eli Manning, or Case Keenum.

Trubisky is currently ranked #3 in QBR behind only Brees and Mahomes. While the rushing totals skew the numbers, Trubisky plays closer to a Cam Newton than he does a Ryan Tannehill, at least as far as Matt Nagy's system goes.

Chicago doesnt need to draft a new QB as Trubsiky will only command a lot of money if he does exceptionally well, otherwise be paid along the lines of an Andy Dalton, which is perfectly aligned with his talent level.

Reuben Foster charged with domestic violence again, 49ers cut him. What a waste of talent.
