Yeah it's a tough balancing act. They're a development team so you don't want to bring in a bunch of vets who may take ice time away from prospects who are in the team's long term plans. It would be nice to bring in one or two for depth and the chance of winning more games, as I believe winning and success are also valuable.
But I try not to get too hung up on the team success but rather how the prospects are progressing and how they play when they get a chance with the big club. In the recent past I've been pretty happy with how the young guys look in the NHL when they get called up.
