Seems to be heating up on the Nick Foligno front for #CBJ. Belief is multiple teams have put a 1st-round pick on the table for Jarmo Kekalainen to consider.

I imagine there is more to the story such as bad contracts coming back that is being omitted here

Along with Milan Lucic, Foligno was one of my favourite non-Flames in the NHL.
Always wanted him in Calgary.
Too late now, and obviously not the time for Calgary to add.

Would be a solid physical with skill addition for a team looking to go deep.

A late first round pick in an average to below average draft for a big powerful winger with some skill seems like an easy pay to give you that player type for a long playoff run.

Surely this is a Bennett comparable, except Bennett is a much younger player. Foligno has a couple more points, is a pretty middling PO performer. Same size, position, LHS.

I'd rather just keep playing Spezza, who's probably more likely to push the needle in the Leafs' direction. If the Leafs intend to play Foligno at Spezza's expense... this doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
