Kind of unlucky for Dier, but not exactly a brilliant decision on his part.
I've been dreading this all week, because there is almost no way we get a result.

Mourinho seems to be trying hard to defend a 0-1 here. Classic Jose.

37% possession, 17 fouls, two shots, 1 on target
Sounds like a third season Mourinho game....but just in season two this time!

35 minutes into the second half they've been trailing the entire time and Spurs finally get a shot, and it's a Hail Mary at that.

It’s hard to win games scoring zero goals. The thing is, Jose has no one to blame here aside from himself and how he’s set the team up. I realize that Kane is out, but the thing is that’s a good roster and they could be doing a lot more.

Yeah, I appreciate wanting to play on the counter, but you cannot just play like Burnley with all that available talent. Especially, when Chelsea is still unsure of themselves and in turmoil/transition. Cannot treat this like a game against Bayern...

Sheffield Utd have more points than The Spurs over the last ten games.

This isnt his counter though , hes keeping 2 more men back than he did at madrid and even from the first few months of this season
Msdrid had the BBC plus at least 1 but usually 2 attacking when they had a chance, plus marcelo, while the rb played a but further back normally.
With this spurs team now its son and kane, and then ndombele and reguilon. If reguilon isnt playing, davies doesnt attack.
Other issue is central midfield hojberg needs a distributor beside him, sissoko just doesnt have the passing range

Amad Diallo has played two games for Uniteds U23 ... they've won those games 6-3 and 6-4, and he's scored 3 goals and 3 assists lol. Apart from the fact that their defense looks to be, uh, a bit underwhelming, I don't think we'll have to wait for his debut much longer.
Hannibal Mejbri looks like a great talent too. The two of them were taking the piss at the end.

I felt bad for him especially. He used to play for Salzburg in the 90s, plus it's great to see an Austrian manager do well in the Prem, so seeing him get steamrolled like that again kind of sucked, even as a United fan. Strange game. Love to win 9-0 (I mean, how often does that happen?!), but wished it was against another opponent. No doubt Ralph will right the ship again though.

Hasenhuettl went balls to the wall and kept two up top even after the red card instead of packing it in. I kinda admire the DGAF approach even as they were getting blasted off the pitch.

I think he's a good manager and I'd hope for him at Spurs after we lose on Sunday morning.

We really had no one experienced enough to bring off the bench, just a bunch of kids. It looks like we should have Vesterguard, Romeu and KWP back for Newcastle game. Plus Minamino should play.
We did score a "good" goal, which would have made it 4-1 at the time, so perhaps it could have ended 6-1! 😇
Ralph is far more than the 1st team coach, he designed a playbook for every player, and is fully invested in doing well for Saints.

Yeah. There's not a lot to take away from that game. Bunch of academy kids and down to ten men after a minute and your always on a hiding to nothing.
The take away from that game for me was that Donny had a great opportunity to show what he could do there but again looked lost. I still don't know what role he was supposed to be playing.
Shout out to the journalist after the game for silly question of the year.
This is the second time in a year you've lost 9-0. How do you feel?
I feel superb. How do you think that I feel? What is the point of that question?

I swore quite loudly when I saw Mike Dean reach into his back pocket. Outrageous.

Can the 3 game suspension be retracted?
