Trying to do what the Lightning did last year with signing Bogosian. Solid get. If the Flyers don't find a way to get in(which is very very likely at this point), I'll be jumping on the Panthers bandwagon for sure. Fun team, and that organization definitely deserves some success.

I doubt Gusev is a difference maker, but free and cheap depth never hurt. They are one of the more interesting teams going into the playoffs and have definitely paid their dues. I wouldn't mind seeing them go on a big run.

He's basically a Duclair replacement until he's healthy, and then adds depth on the wings lower on the roster. He and Vatrano on the 3rd line would be fun to watch. Pure offense, no defense.

That should really be posted as a 5 week contract pro-rated to a million. Obviously for cap purposes, it has to be stated that way, I just find it funny.
Good pick up for some depth scoring on the wings. They really had a lot of question marks to start the year, but Duclair did better than expected, as did Hornqvist. Verhaeghe has been a revelation, and Vatrano just continues to score goals and do very little else. This will give them a nice secondary option to create offense and score goals, and maybe play on PP2.
Adding Montour and Gusev isn't going to turn this team instantly into a contender, but it does give them some more NHL level depth to work with heading towards the playoffs.
Hoping for good things this year...despite my better judgement.
