I watched it just a few weeks ago, it was on Hollywood Suite.

People think it’s boring because Jennifer Aniston made a joke about it on Friends 20 years ago - it isn’t. Like most Orson Welles pictures, it isn’t the most accessible thing you’ll encounter, but the older it gets, the more its quality stands out.

You won’t see ten movies this decade made with as much care and thought as Citizen Kane.

I have watched a total of 10 minutes of the very first Harry Potter. Not that I hated it, but never really gave it a shot.

Saw the very 1st Fast and Furious. None after.

Haven't seen any of the 'new age' Disney cartoon movies like Frozen or any of the Pixar CGI movies except for Toy Story.

Those new age cartoons saved my ass when my kids were young because they are actually really good. WALL-E is fataing amazing. Up is also awesome. Cars is great. There are so many that are actually quality movies with quality stories that stand up to numerous re-watches.

Blockbuster doesn't mean good so I try to avoid any that don't interest me or were poorly reviewed. I haven't seen most of the DC superhero movies and have pulled the pin on most of the Marvel ones after the ridiculousness of Endgame as well now that Marvel has ruined Spiderman. Only ones I will likely watch going forward is maybe the darker themed ones like Venom 2 and Morbius.

I've never seen any of the Back to the Future movies even though I'm a child of the 80's. I've also never seen Forrest Gump, it looks so boring.

Just admit it. Zemeckis stole your g/f... lol

But with Forest Gump I was dragged to the theatre to watch it. Even though I was a Tom Hanks fan. 10 times later... that movie is still awesome. and it's educational. I didn't know you get all you can eat ice cream if you get shot in the buttocks.

I only recently saw The Deer Hunter (was worth it). Still some other older classics I have yet to watch.

You did? How did you manage to restrain yourself from posting a new thread specifically to tell us all about the experience while you were watching it?

#21 City of God (this one is embarrassing, I've owned a dvd copy for 15 years)
#29 Hara-Kiri (missed the existence of this one somehow)
#32 Whiplash (on my to-watch list)
#48 Pather Panchali (this one will likely be on the list a while)
#53 Hamilton (am I the only one with no interest in this?)
#54 Capernaum (never even heard of it)
#56 Your name. (never even heard of it)
#63 3 Idiots (I'm thinking I haven't seen many of the Bollywood movies on here)
#64 Like Stars on Earth (Bollywood)
#77 Witness for the Prosection (Billy Wilder, I will watch this)
#81 The Hunt (been meaning to watch this)

The IMDB top 100. That's not too bad. The bolded I'll actually watch and the others will have to be by accident somehow.

Moana is one of the greatest animated movies of all time, and I'm very glad that it's one of my daughter's favorites. I have no issue with that movie being on repeat because the songs are great, there's no love interest, and Moana herself is a great role model for girls. The older Disney movies just don't hold up at all with all the princesses being nigh useless until their prince charming comes to save them

Have never seen Titanic or any Star Wars movies after Return of the Jedi, except the first Disney one, whatever it was called, with the kids.

Most of those IMDB or AFI lists aren't blockbusters though. If you want to talk about movies you haven't seen the Box Office Mojo all time list or adjusted list are what really matter.

https://www.boxofficemojo.com/chart/..._gross_to=2020

I've seen probably around 90 of the top 100 of the adjusted list. Got to be more like 95 of the top 100 all time non adjusted (either domestic or worldwide). Only a few of the fairly recent children's movies I haven't seen.

Unacceptable.

I also find it amusing and odd when people speak from an "us" perspective and expect others to catch on that they mean their spouse and themselves. Unless you were doing a gollum and speaking about you and your alter ego watching movies together.

To be fair that thread is the reason I ended up watching it.

Whateverman is the worst superhero ever. He just mopes around drinking kombucha and mutters "meh". Super-ineffective against bad guys.

60 off that list which is better than the 37 from the AFI list I guess. Suppose I ought to get signed up for that Criterion channel membership

Pulp Fiction
Die Hard

The weirdest part about not seeing Die Hard is I've actually seen both sequels, the 3rd one in theaters. Gonna have to watch the original one of these days..
