Why should anyone give a cut price to an oil state?
If graelish is worth 100m to them, the price for kane should start at double
Well and if Lukaku is getting that kind of bid, Kane is clearly worth a lot more. The reality is, he might have had a gentleman’s agreement (maybe not), but if there’s no bid that makes sense for the club, he’s got a 3 year contract.
It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out. City is the only club that could pay, realistically, and Kane probably wants the PL goal scoring record and to play in the World Cup next year. So, eventually someone has to cave.

If city had made a respectable bid I'd see his frustration, and pushing this whole gentleman's agreement in the media is pathetic, which has never been stated by him and is just to this point a sky talking point. Bale had an actual one with levy and when madrid came in with the price point he let him go.
But so far their offer they told spurs was 85m plus 15m in potential add ins, that's insulting, he has 3 years left on a contract.
Kane has acted like a petulant child from the start, doing that interview with neville with 2 weeks still left in the season, and now this.
His whinging about wanting trophies would ring more true if he had actually played well in any of the finals or semi finals hes been at with spurs
The media coverage of this is pathetic too
Rio Ferdinand pointing out how if this was pogba there would be helicopters following his every move and the media would be slating him is exactly right, but for kane, and when someone wanna go to city, they should let them go and follow their dreams

City haven't even put in a real bid yet and hes pulling this?
Also should be stripped of england captaincy
I don't think that would be the smartest PR move. Spurs just need to keep it simple. They're paying his wages and he's under contract to do a job, simple as that. Unless they get something like £150M for him then hold onto him.
But definitely take the Spurs armband from him. Firstly you can't make a mockery of it by having someone wear it that wants out and secondly it wouldn't be a big loss from a leadership pov. Totally agree with Keane in that there's no doubt he's a great player but a leader he's not shown to be. Either for club or country.
1:40 mark.

Lloris is the captain, Kane is vice, and he should lose that
The media push his team is sending out now is that hes not 'at war' with spurs, he just wants to reiterate his desire to go to city. So he saw the backlash from pretty much everyone yesterday and his team is backing down a bit.
In terms of being a leader, I think he does and he doesnt have it in him
The kit man for England said after the germany game that kane gathered everyone a minute before going out and gave a talk that had everyone ready to run through a wall.
In the amazon doc and everything else he seems like more of a platitudes guy, who is a bit of a coaches pet, lloris is much more of the leader, even guys like vertonghen and davies seemed to have more of the mind for it
So I think keane definitely has a point, a team like city where he can just be another player on the team is more of his fit

Well if a team can’t even keep a boyhood local star like Grealish from the “Super League” teams it’s a sad day for soccer. Sounds like Villa are ready to reinvest that money quick at least with bids for Cantwell, Ward Prowse and Abraham, and Tuanzebe coming in on loan to add to already getting Buendia and Bailey this summer. Crazy times. Sad day.
apparently Kane is still in Florida at this point, and not even in the UK. He plans to return this weekend, but basically he'll have his Covid test and have to isolate, so chances are he's not playing the first week of the season.
I don't think that he'd be playing anyway, but it's pretty appalling that he's not even in the country.

Its pretty appalling that he's in Florida.
Tons of amazing places he could vacation that would limit his COVID exposure he may as well have vacationed in a Petri Dish of COVID.
Florida....that is a man with some very poor judgement.

wow, Danny Ings joining Aston Villa came out of nowhere.
Completely out of nowhere, they did try for him 2 years ago so the interest has been there but not a single rumour about this one over the summer. Guess Southampton was like F off with JWP, here’s Ings instead haha
pretty cool to see a transfer like this though. Nowadays it's usually days or weeks of tweets and "will they, won't they" for pretty much every transfer ... fun to see it done differently and everybody being caught off guard like that.
think Villa is doing a great job. Even without Grealish, that's a really nice team ... hope Tuanzebe gets a lot of playing time there.
Christian Eriksen has returned to Italy for the first time since his cardiac arrest during Denmark's Euro 2020 opener with Finland and met with Inter Milan director Beppe Marotta.
Eriksen, 29, spent a week in the hospital, where he had a type of pacemaker fitted, before going home to Denmark to recover. He has also undergone a raft of medical tests to discover the cause for the cardiac arrest.
Eriksen will undergo further tests in Italy and is not expected to be back on a soccer field for at least six months.
Depending on the cause of the cardiac arrest and the nature of his treatment, he could be prohibited from playing in Italy but could continue his career in England or the Netherlands, where the rules are different.
Leicester defender Fofana with a nasty leg break in a pre-season friendly against Villareal. Shocker of a challenge ... I'd ban the player for a long time in all honesty, making such a tackle in a frigging friendly is completely indefensible.
Lol at Man City announcing Grealish right now. Didn't they have another signing announcement recently that they made when a much bigger story was overshadowing it? They sure can pick their spots for minimum attention.

The video from Christian Purslow explaining the transfer just exemplifies how much Aston Villa has grown as an organization in the last 4 years. Great professionalism by them to state in clear terms exactly what happened and what Villa is doing moving forward. I still have nightmares over the cryptic Tony Xia tweets he was putting out while almost bankrupting the organization.

That was a pretty good statement. Lots of respect for that.
