It was clearly a Taco Corp. Conspiracy.

I'm a huge fan. I read the Foundation series as a kid and I loved it. So I'm really looking forward to this series.
Its going to be tough to translate to the screen, but they've got the spirit, the budget and the vehicle so I'm optimistic.

Not sure what to think of Foundation after the first 2 episodes. Visuals are gorgeous and most of the cast seems great, but some of the dialog is very clunky and they made some glaring contradictions in numbers. They give several different travel times for a single trip to an outer world, and then in the 2nd episode they directly contradict the total population of the galaxy that was established in the 1st episode. You'd figure in a show where math plays such an important role they could have at least proofread their own numbers

I watched the first episode, I thought it was great, but is dangerously on the boundary of 80's cheese. The Emperor's outfit is one example. It will be interesting how they handle the time gaps.
I was hoping to finish the books before it aired, but I still have one to go.

First episode felt rushed even though it's over an hour. Much to like but yea some of it is triple cheese. It's still intelligent Sci-Fi for the most part especially compared to what Star Trek has turned into.

I like The Morning Show (Apple). Some of the side performances are mediocre to bad. Aniston and Crudip are hammy, but it works (both whipped up by/whipping up their overdramatic surroundings). Carrel, Witherspoon and Duplass make it worth watching IMO.

Tried to watch good cop with Josh Groban and Tony Danza last night.. woof is it bad.
The music and tone of the show do not go together. The trailer made it seem like it could be funny cop show. Then you watch it and its a giant turd. The music is off as well.

We plowed our way through 5 of 7 episodes of the new Mike Flanagan limited series Midnight Mass over the weekend. Pretty damn good so far, but we'll see if it sticks the ending.
We're big Flanagan Fans (Fanagans? Flanaganafans?) in our house so it's really cool to see him bring to life an original script.
The core concept is solid, the principle cast is excellent (with the exception of Zach Gilford who thinks "understated" is a better descriptor for "unemoting and bland"), and it gets the hooks in a bit more every episode.
Hamish Linklater alone has gone way way way way up the charts of "underrated character actors" for me.

I really enjoyed it.
Another great Korean Netflix series: Kingdom. Its basically a Train to Busan style zombie horror show set in a fictional medieval Korean kingdom. I highly recommend it (if that sounds like your thing).

I thought it was pretty good overall and I generally think the genre is lame.

2 episoed in to Dr. Death and it's pretty good. The guy playing the titular character is quite good and Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater do a fine job of their usual selves. The story itself is riveting. I won't be signing up for spinal surgery anytime soon.

I really liked that show.
Then again I can empathize with the other people who are absolutely astounded that nobody else can the the blatant BS right in front of their faces.

Too lazy to find documentary thread.
PBS has a great 2 part doc on William Randolph Hearst. Part one was last night, part two today. Looks like they’re replayed a few times this week.
Spoiler alert: he was a total piece of ####.
