That reminds me of one time I saw Hanks on a talk show (I think it was Letterman) some time after Turner & Hooch came out and they were talking about how it didn't do as well at the box office as had been hoped. Hanks said it was because the dog dies at the end of the movie and no one wanted to see it a second time or tell their friends to see it.

He joked that after the movie came out, the next time he drove past the Disney studio, someone was carving the plants out front into a topiary that spelled out "DON'T KILL THE DOG!"

That Hanks trailer isn't really doing it for me. Didn't I see this movie already? It was called Castaway, now with a dog playing Wilson.

It does have some Wall-E thrown in.

Ya I saw Castaway and it was amazing. I'll take a quasi sequel, thanks.

I don't care about the Royals but I am a fan of Kristen Stewart so I'll check this out.

for me, the idea of watching anything about diana and the royals turns me off completely. I don't care who is in it.

unless it's a porn parody, perhaps. have they done one yet?

Rule 34: Rule 34 is an Internet maxim which asserts that Internet pornography exists concerning every conceivable topic.

Same.

The Michael Fassbender version (wanna say 2014?) was well done. I was worried it would focus too much on Shakespeare text, and not be modern enough, but was pleasantly surprised. Not entirely sure what to expect with this new one.

I will absolutely watch a movie where Tom Hanks's robot kicks Tom Hanks's dog.

As for the Turner and Hooch comment... my wife suggested we watch it with the kids and I shut that downing front of them with full explanation.

This looks great. Alana Haim (from the band Haim) and Philip Seymour Hoffman's son are the leads!

Why did that feel like a movie about famous people? I kept trying to figure out who the movie is about during the whole trailer.

But that's fine, I'm a sucker for coming of age movies.

I don't know about the other characters. This might be PTA's version of Once Upon A Time in Hollywood with some true events but also his own narrative. Could be great.

Second trailer dropped for The Batman. I still hold out hope simply based on Pattinson, that this movie will have an independent feel to it when it's done, but I have to say the trailer gives off the vibe of a splice of every other Batman movie put into one. The trailer seems to have throwaway cliches, and I hope the final cut isn't fully representative of what's shown below.

There was a report the other day from people who've seen it that it's basically a noir detective story, compared it to se7en

Also close to 3 hours long
