I just passed a handful of people on the pedestrian overpass by Union Cemetery waving flags. There were a couple of Canadian, a Gadsden, and one with something about freedom. Who knows what messsage they’re trying to send.

The moronic #######s that just want to get some from Trudeau are out on the TCH today. I gave them a hearty middle finger as I rolled by. Cops not doing anything to keep them off the highway. Would be a real shame if one of them tripped in front of a semi. Real shame.

Hundreds of cars and trucks lined either side of the highway at the Nova Scotia–New Brunswick border Monday as anti-carbon tax campaigners took their protest to the land crossing.

The protest kicked off early in the morning, with RCMP eventually closing the highway around 10 a.m., diverting traffic to a secondary road.

No one likes paying another tax but do these dopes ever think that maybe they should look into the reasons the carbon tax was introduced? Maybe realize there are some very educated and intelligent people who have spent years of their careers working on the details, more time than the 5 mins they spend spouting off and swearing. Have some humility and ask questions or do some reading instead of lashing out. Change is hard and history proves that no one wants to do the right thing until it's almost too late.

What am I talking about, most of these dummies think all the scientific data is fake and part of a conspiracy. You can't reason with them if that is their starting point. It's just a reason to scream F*** Trudeau and get pissed off over something they don't understand.

I'm very sure that there will be prompt enforcement of the UCP's own "Critical Infrastructure Defence Act" to ensure that citizens and goods can move about the province freely.

It wouldn't be at all hypocritical to turn a blind eye because 'Berta sticking it to the feds or something, right? Just like Coutts.

Bill 1, the Critical Infrastructure Defence Act, protects essential infrastructure from damage or interference caused by blockades, protests or similar activities, which can cause significant public safety, social, economic and environmental consequences.

The act builds on existing trespassing laws to create offences for trespassing on, destroying, damaging, and obstructing the use or operation of any essential infrastructure.

If she hasn't already said this (I haven't bothered to check), I'll bet if questioned about this by a journalist Smith will say her own party's bill doesn't apply in this case because the Trans Canada Highway is federal -- not provincial -- infrastructure.

The timing of this tax is admittedly terrible. And the pushback should be completely unsurprising.

It would just be nice if people just took their action in a less futile and disruptive way.

The convoyers using it as an excuse to snowball in their anti vax/lockdown frustrations is embarrassing. Its been 2+ years since this was relevant.
