Kid is pretty fun to watch. Fast, mobile, moves the puck around VERYquickly. Still makes the occasional mistake but far more often then not, he makes the right choice. Glad we have him.

Brodie is just getting more responsible in his own end and effective in the oppositions .
5 on 5 TJ is much a better D man in his own end than Justin Shultz

I'm glad to see that the Flames might have finally found a diamond in the rough type player. As nice as it was to see him make the team last season, I was fine with him being a bottom pairing dman. Now its quite clear he has the tools to be a top 4 defender. Just a matter of him putting it all together. He really skates the puck well out of the defensive zone and leads the rush quite well. He has made a couple mistakes from time to time, but I can live with those as he seems to improve with each game that goes by.
I honestly see Brodie being a rock on our backend for years to come. Truly one of the most underrated players on the Flames team.

Gio is definitely a perfect example of diamond in the rough. Undrafted D man with Zero hype around him that got an invite to training camp ends up eventually being in our top 4 now top 2.

He reminds me a lot of a young Dan Boyle. If he can turn into anything close to that, that would be awesome.

Just read a Scott Cruickshank article where he said Brodie and Cervenka are roommates on the road. That must be tough for both guys with the language barrier.

Brodie outmuscled two Bluejackets along the boards to steal the puck and start the rush on the OT goal last night. Great play.
Outside of Baertschi and Gaudreau, I'm probably most excited about Brodie's developmentm he's taken top-4 minutes and run with it so far!

You didn't even mention the icing on the cake... dishing the puck to Iginla and then driving hard towards the net drawing the Blue Jackets towards him leaving Tanguay wide open.
Tanguay post game credited him big time for that.

It was the best 3 on 2 play the Flames have ever made.

Probably great. Brodie has been thought the rigorous AHL route, and Cervenka has been playing pro so it would seem to be a good dynamic. Additionally, most people don't learn a new language and break out of their shell, so to speak, without being immersed in a language and culture.

Ya makes sense to give roman an English speaking only roommate or else he would just speak Czech all the time...so either he learns English or teaches Brodie Czech lol
Also that 3 on 2 was perfectly played, for a rookie dman to have the balls to put 3 players deep in 4 on 4 play is impressive and exactly what this team needs.

Great to see Brodie finally getting some love, he has played great thus far this season. Currently leading the team in +/- and well deserved. Great to see him move up to the PP as well, he and Wideman make and excellent pair out there. I think Hartley needs to show the youngster some PK time as well. His speed and ability to win puck battles and skate with the puck could provide some score chances short handed.

Lovin Brodie so far, hope he doesn't have another shift in the AHL.
What's his contract?
