Lindholm was decent there in the first game, but not sure I'd make any declarations yet as to who is a better fit there.
Top line has had really limited ice time and all look tired and a step behind. Will be easier to judge when the games start to matter.

Is Czarnik the biggest steal and the best signing of this summer?

IMO this is consensus:
Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Tkachuk-Backlund-Neal
Bennett-Ryan-Frolik
Hathaway-Jankowski-Czarnik
Giordano-Brodie
Hanifin-Hamonic
Kulak-Stone
Smith
Rittich
Hard to justify anything but this right lineup now. Maybe Czarnik goes to Line 2, Neal to Line 3 and Frolik to Line 4. That could give the flames two second lines...

Tkachuk with 3 hours sleep last night. Gets 3 assists so far in this game. Just think of what he could do with a full night of sleep!
If these trends continue.......aaaayyyyyyy!

Here's my stab at the lines. It's tougher than I thought.
Gaudreau-Money-Neal
Tkachuk-Backlund-Lindholm
Bennett-Ryan-Czarnik
Frolik-Jankowski-Dube

Switch Neal and Lindholm and I think ding ding ding you have a winner. I could see Dube supplanting Hathaway after the dust settles on preseason.

Neal might start the year on my third line.

I like it. For me, I'd switch Lindholm and Neal just based on what I've seen so far.

Neal’s a threat both physically and on the scoreboard, and also plays with an edge. I really think that’s what Johnny/Monny need on their line to take the next step.

I have not noticed Kjillington this game.... which is how it should be. Andersson has a canon and needs to get some shots through but he is quicker and leaner this year. He was better in the AHL than Kulak when they were the top pairing and is still better.

The Czarnik PPG was almost identical to a Versteeg one from 2016:

This hasn't come up much, but man, this Canucks team is going to be all sorts of awful this year. Lots of effort, knowing how Green works, but still, pretty terrible.

Same team just without the Sedins. Going to be a real tough year for them.

For sure it’s tougher .
Neal Lindholm Czarnik Ryan and Dube ( with a chance) are replacing Ferland Stajan and Brouwer as well as probably one of Lazar or Hathaway.
Great improvement and quality depth on the bottom 6.
Some guys who are returning better pick it up or their ice time will be reduced dramatically.
