That was fun.

Winning like that is always fun, but against the stinkin rays?

Nice.

Borucki looks like a lights out lefty reliever right now. Do you risk trying him as a starter again? Can he maintain that velocity for 6+ innings?

I would leave him right where he is - he has been lights out

Bo Bichette watch:

In major league history, there have been 15 players who got 100 or more extra base hits in a season (Lou Gehrig did it twice). Last year, Bichette was on pace for 102. So far this year (even smaller sample size), he is on pace for 112.

He has 38 extra base hits (22 2B, 16 HR) in 59 games. The list of players - in major league history - that had at least 38 extra base hits in their first 59 games*:

Mickie Mantle
Bo Bichette

/list

* according to last night's telecast

I guess we're not going to get many gems from guys like Roark and Anderson, but that's not really surprising I suppose.

With the game suspended does that mean tomorrow will be a doubleheader?

Yes, but the second is only 7 innings.

The Stanley Cup champion is going to be legit, but there’s gotta be some sort of huge asterisk next to this baseball season.

The season is a joke, but hopefully the playoffs have some standards and normalcy

Yesterday's game has resumed here this morning.

Bichette is out as he 'felt something in his knee' when stretching last night. He is going through some tests today, including an MRI.

Jays playing little league defence again and costs them a run. I know they’re a young team but some of these plays are inexcusable.

Jays open the game back up by tieing it in the bottom of the 4th, only to kick the ball around defensively in the top of the 5th, giving the run right back.

Bo Bichette to undergo MRI on knee? Hopefully it's nothing as he's been the only bright spot this year of the young guys.

Jays are starting to string more hits together. And now McGuire drops down a solid bunt to put runners on 2nd and 3rd. Good fundamentals are a rare treat with this team.

Personally I don't get concerned about their defence much. This isn't a scientific assessment statistically proven or anything, but unless defence is grievously bad, I don't think it'll generally cost games. From a development standpoint, I want to see more decipline at the plate, if I have a choice. I'd say a third have it, two thirds, don't.
