Yeah, no way he runs the table. He'd have to win 17 of the remaining 22 races to pass Vettel lifetime.

If he wins 17 total (including Bahrain) he would tie Vettel for lifetime wins, and would also break Schumacher's record for highest % of races won in a season (Schumacher won 13/18).

I think 17 wins would reasonably be the greatest F1 season ever, so even though I think he wins the championship it isn't obvious to me that'll happen. If Ferrari can finish races and have reasonable pit stop strategy they should win a few, Alonso looks like he might grab one or two, and you'd think Mercedes should grab a couple.

This! She's been easily the most insightful commentator I've heard in a long time. The nuance, strategy, and just how she explains decisions is fantastic. She was actually on all 3 FP sessions, and I hope she gets on for Qualy and Race Day as well.

No, Max won't win every race. He'll crash in one and retire in one...

Verstappen a full second ahead of of closest non RB competitor. In the next .5 seconds are 12 cars, the whole rest of field in full second.
Essentially Max is as far ahead of Alonso as Alonso is from the slowest car on grid. Or close to that.
Ignore 1-2 and I think this will be a great season.

A couple of rookies will smash the walls, safety cars, smart strategy and that will be enough for him to get to the front. I still wouldn't bet against him.

The radar showed them with a huge advantage over AM, Ferrari and Merc - so he'll be able to avoid getting stuck in a DRS train. And he might be up to a second per lap faster than anyone else besides Checo.

You forgot to sprinkle in Ferrari either breaking down or imploding on pit strategy.

Well that broken drive shaft for Max will make things a little spicier tomorrow. RBR is so far ahead this though, props to their Aero team.

Merc completely throwing in the towel on the zero-pod aero concept is really their only choice. Clearly lack downforce that isn't made up with low drag speed. Like the Sky guys said today watching AMR do so well with a Merc rear end gives them hope.

Have to say...Stroll looks legit fast and seems to have found a seriously quick gear. He's been within 2 tenths or better so far.

Any chance they add a bunch of equipment for Max since he's already starting 15? Ie - add a bunch of new stuff and take 10-20 penalty places and start at the bottom instead of 15. Especially if he's already burned a gear box...
