JVR is another big, slower guy who doesn’t play good defensively. Doesn’t use his body the way that he should either.

If the Flames acquired JVR, he might send Pelletier, who is quicker, back down to the minors. So, it might be a doubly whammy as far as team speed goes.

Personally I'd be willing to part with a 3rd for him but I suspect he could fetch a 2nd from someone else. 21 points in 31 games, so having a decent season.
Haven't watched much of him at all this year so not sure if his stats are misleading.

Flames currently have 5 2023 draft picks from what I can tell. Tre always likes to go in with only 3, so we'll probably acquire 2 depth defensemen
