movie execs in the top production companies do not care about audience reception, they care about their income versus investment, that's it. Look at transformers, everyone hates those movies yet they make millions. Being a director or producer for Warner Bros. etc. etc. must be terrible unless you are James Cameron or Christopher Nolan.

Good gravy, I hate how much they give away in trailers.

Finding out Sharon Stone was an agent was a memorable twist when I watched the original, now it's info every viewer will have walking in.

The viral marketing campaign (if you can call it that) has been releasing some videos of the cast, in character.

Michael Fassbender's video was released.....he's the android in the new film. (his video is in the link, it isn't youtube so I can't/don't know how to embed)

No it's Gwen Stacy. Spiderman's first love interest.

In the comics she is killed by the Green Goblin. He throws her off a bridge. Spiderman catches her, but the whiplash causes her to die.

They didn't include her in the first movies. My guess is that they were relatively light hearted, and this was too dark.

Edit: In Spiderman 3, Gwen Stacy is the girl Peter uses to make Mary Jane jealous.
