Not a bad deal at all. Too bad Oshie isn’t a center. “Kovy Ovi Oshie” would have been a fun line to say.

Look like Ovi and Kovy can be best buds for 20 + playoff games.

I think Kovalchuk liked Montreal so much that he is going to re-sign there.

Caps just got a lot better, Kovalchuk has been good in Montreal. As someone mentioned wouldn't be surprised to see him re sign in Montreal

Not kidding when I say this, the Habs retained 50 percent on Kovalchuk’s league minimum salary and cap hit. So about 76k. Every dime counts for the cap-challenged Captials.
