Just to bring some positivity to the thread:

What Flames players have historically played well in Detroit?

Sitting at a bar just outside the arena having a drink. Lots of Flames fans here!

If the flames can't show up today, then I frankly hope they are no shows for the rest of the year.
As long as we do not trade our first round pick in the next 22 hours. Have to figure they find a way to win this evening.

I'm pumped to see CGY come out and establish their game : fast, smart, skilled, hard, competitive hockey not just for this game but as the blueprint for how they will play here on out.

It's really just the mindset they bring to each game - relentless and let that be the process CGY puts on the ice each game. Let the chips fall where they may after that but it's all about how CGY plays.

That relentless style will just propel each individual CGY player to reach new levels of their game. Scoring goals and having fun but also competing like crazy (shades of 04). CGY has so many guys that will elevate their games - virtually all of them just being buzzsaws.

Speed and tenacity. Skill and determination. I just see it.

Many of them as a players and as a team back in the day when the Wings were good.

Problem was, in a tight game the Wings usually got a phantom powerplay at very strategic points in the game, and almost always in the last 7 to 10 minutes of the game.

Today is my 32nd birthday, so originally I was gonna say 3-2 Flames, but now I think I'll revise it to 5-0.

Go Flames Go!

Default Flames @ Wings 5PM Sportnets

Tickets were $7 on Stub Hub today. Good deals to be had when Detroit is poop.
