Take it all you filthy Ducks.

I love when Oiler fans try and call ANY other commentators in the league, homers. Haha! MAN the Oilers are stupid!

The demise of Mikael Backlund has been greatly exaggerated.

I love knowing Ducks fans were suffering watching their team get routed at the Honda Center.

Exactly

And anyone who hates the Canucks as much Backlund does is always ok in my books.

I've been under the weather so I couldn't make it through the game but waking up and seeing a 6-0 beatdown of that franchise warms my heart. Just because the Ducks are bad now we should never forget that they were massive D-bags when they were atop the division for years and they can rot in the Pacific celler for eternity for all I care.

Backlund should never play wing ever again.

The win puts the Flames in a 3 way tie with the Knights and Oilers, 2 points up on the 8th place Coyotes and 3 points up on the 9th place Jets.

I’m liking the Flames’ new team identity: Score 6 goals every ******* game.

If we stay true to that identity, I think the likelihood of making playoffs significantly increases.

I still have a hard time getting my head around Talbot. He's stolen a few games and had a good handful of very good starts yet I always kind of worry when he gets a start because he has some of those Hiller type of moments where he can't make basic saves. If you look at his stats you would think it's a no-brainer to bring him back but I'm not sure.

If we could get him cheap again I’d do it for sure. If we had to go into a playoff series with Talbot starting I would feel very comfortable with it.

Spoiler!

Big win, screw you Ducks! Suddenly after the extreme reaction from the Kings loss, a 3-1 roadtrip looks really good with 21 goals in 4 games.

A loss like that on home ice, in an arena the Flames have horrible luck in...man oh man does it feel good to witness a win like that. Couldn't have happened to a 'better' team. There is no other team I will enjoy their fall from grace more then the Ducks. After YEARS of pain, finally get to enjoy them in the basement for a while. Enjoy it Sucks!!

The Backlund resurgence - just remember he was getting all kinds of chances before and was just snakebit on burying them. That's not uncommon. And keep it in mind when thinking about Monahan now - he had a lot of chances on this trip except in LA. The one goal was not indicative of play IMO.

His worst games have come when he’s been cold after sitting out awhile. I really think Ward needs to make this more of a 1A / 1B situation and don’t let Talbot get cold. Rittich also plays better with more rest in between games.

I think you may be on to something. It's all about winning games on this stretch drive and if your backup is playing well you should be rotating him in on a regular basis especially after a loss.

It does look like he's got more jump in his step after being put back to center.

How come we aren't giving Ward any credit? Athletic article today was really good, talks about how Backlund and the players came and discussed they what they wanted and he listened. I like that in a coach.
